The platform offers managers a more modern and efficient way to manage operations, thanks to a financial system to organize invoices, payments and collections, a CRM system to interact with customers, a community channel to facilitate communications with residents or employees and a digital dashboard that generates periodic reports and analytical data and insights to help teams make decisions.

  • What drove the development of PropEzy? How long did the development of the platform take and what expertise was needed to deliver this platform?

The PropEzy team is a group of built environment industry professionals, with extensive experience in property development, facility management, property management and strata/OA management. The one thing we all had in common was that we worked with niche technologies that specialized only in facilities management, property management, or customer service. It was a siled approach to technology, which meant that even if you were managing a building, the facilities management system would not have information about tenants, for example, because it would be stored in another system. .

This industry-wide challenge is the problem we are trying to solve – to deliver an integrated platform of key systems that makes building management easier and more professional.

Platform development is an ongoing process, but it’s been 24 months now, and with three core products already rolled out to market, we have enough to deal with. In terms of expertise, we relied on launch partners for each product – industry leaders who consulted with us on the mix of features each product should have. Our industry partners included Kingfield Owners Association Management Services (Kingfield), Omnius Property Management and OrionTEK Innovations, who are experts in the security and access control industry.

  • Who is the platform for and what is the cost of using the solution? What kind of return on investment can users expect?

PropEzy is for built asset environmental managers who are looking for modern, more efficient ways to manage their property, community, facilities, safety, or workplace.

The cost depends on the module selected, but can be as low as US$2 per unit, per month. The main differentiator from well-established software brands that exist today is that PropEzy is a cloud-based SaaS solution, which means there is no upfront CAPEX for customers. Instead, they benefit from a monthly pay-as-you-go plan, which keeps costs much lower than was the case with legacy systems in facilities management, property management and community management.

In terms of ROI, it depends on each deployment and what features customers are focusing on. For example, one of our customers uses PropEzy to process approximately 90% of his 6,000 customer payments each month. Since our bill payment process is fully automated, it saves their accounting team 11 minutes per transaction or approximately 66,000 minutes per month, which is the equivalent of several FTEs, as well as saving space desk for cashiers.

Independent/siloed solutions for core operations such as rental, facility management, customer service, payments, etc. have always been a problem for the built environment. It is still difficult for property and community managers to provide consumers with seamless end-to-end service due to this fragmentation of said solutions.

This, in our view, is holding back the widespread adoption of other emerging technologies that could improve both the end-user experience and the ability of asset managers to successfully manage portfolios. PropEzy helps solve this problem by providing a comprehensive platform that integrates all areas of the built asset environment.

  • What type of cybersecurity does this platform use to ensure that its data is safe from cyberattacks/hackers etc. ?

Our platform manages customer data, making system security a key priority that we have focused on from day one. The platform is hosted on a global Tier 1 hosting provider, with a suite of cloud security features including firewalls and encryption mechanisms.

The security of customer data is something we will never compromise on, which is why we regularly monitor and test our platform for simulated attacks, adding an extra layer of assurance for customers and our team.
